24.08.16 Studying "입트영" Independently

I have been studying "입트영" on my own for three years.

저는 '입트영'을 3년째 혼자 공부하고 있습니다.

I wake up at 6 o'clock on the dot.

일단 6시 정각에 기상을 합니다.

Then, I recite the "입트영" dialogue.

그런 다음 '입트영' 대화문을 암송합니다.

My principle is to memorize each day's dialogue on the day of.

당일 대화문은 당일 외운다는 원칙이 있습니다.

When the "입트영" broadcast starts, I get ready to take dictation.

'입트영' 방송이 시작하면 받아쓰기를 할 준비를 합니다.

* take dictation : 받아쓰기를 하다​

I have the textbook, but taking dictation helps me focus on the broadcast.

교재가 있지만, 받아쓰기를 하면 방송에 좀 더 집중할 수 있습니다.

After the broadcast ends, I post an English expression from that day's program on my personal blog.

방송이 끝나면, 제 개인 블로그에 그날의 영어 표현 하나를 올립니다.

I also choose one of the study group questions to practice writing in English.

그리고 스터디 그룹 질문 중에 하나를 골라서 영작 연습도 해 봅니다.

When my child goes off to school, I listen to the day's passage several times and practice reciting it out loud.

아이가 학교에 가면, 본문을 여러 번 듣고 낭독 연습을 합니다.

* go off to school : 등교하다

* recite it out loud : 소리 내서 낭독하다

Then, I copy the passage by hand and practice the dialogue until I know it backwards and forwards.

그러고 나서 본문을 필사하고, 대화문을 완벽히 외울 때까지 연습합니다.

* know it backwards and forwards : 완벽히 이해하다(외우다)

If I haven't memorized it completely, I take a picture with my phone and continue memorizing it during my commute.

다 외우지 못했을 경우에는 휴대폰으로 사진을 찍어서 출퇴근 중에 계속 외웁니다.

By perfectly memorizing the dialogues, I am enjoying the amazing experience of clearly understanding characters' lines when I watch TV shows or movies in English.

대화문을 완벽히 외우니, 영어 드라마나 영화를 볼 때 등장인물들의 대사가 선명하게 잘 들리는 신기한 경험을 하고 있습니다.
