24.09.20 Overseas Trip for a Big Family

I am the eldest of four siblings, and my youngest brother is currently living in Japan.

저는 4남매의 장녀로 막내 동생은 현재 일본에서 거주 중입니다.

Thanks to the unprecedented weak yen and the close distance, we decided to plan a family trip to visit him.

We are a large family of 11 people, including my parents in their 70s, my younger sister and her husband, two nephews, the children’s single uncle, and my family of four.

70대이신 부모님, 여동생 내외, 조카 2명, 싱글인 삼촌, 그리고 우리 가족 넷을 합치니 11명이나 되는 대가족이었습니다.

With my brother and his wife joining us locally, it would be a major event with 13 family members.

Since our group includes men and women of all ages, there were many preparations to make.

First, we needed to rent cars, so some of us prepared international driving permits.

Second, we gathered basic medications and the prescription meds we were taking.

As with any trip, we expect some ups and downs, but we believe it will be a memorable experience and pray for a safe journey.
