24.09.24 Our “입트영“ and Parenting Group

We are an “입트영“ study group that first got started in the fall of 2016.

저희는 2016년 가을부터 시작한 ‘입트영’ 스터디 그룹입니다.

After delivering our babies, it felt depressing and stifling to just stay at home all day.

출산하고 나서 하루 종일 집에만 있는 것이 너무 우울하고 답답해서,

So, we formed a group where we could bring along our newborns to study.

갓난아이들을 데리고 나와서 공부라도 해 보자 싶어 결성된 모임이었습니다.

The kids were so young at first that it was a chaotic mess of studying and childcare.

처음에는 아이들이 너무 어려서 공부 반 육아 반, 그야말로 난장판이었지요.

But as the kids grew older and started going to daycare, we gradually created an environment where we could really hit the books.

그런데 아이들이 조금씩 크고 어린이집도 다니게 되면서, 공부다운 공부를 할 수 있는 환경이 점점 만들어졌습니다.

That’s when we started buying the “입트영” books and our studies began in earnest.

그때부터 우리는 ‘입트영’ 교재를 구입해서 본격적으로 공부를 하기 시작했습니다.

Over the years, the group has seen many changes due to members moving or returning to work.

시간이 지나면서 멤버들의 이사나 복직으로 인해 모임이 많이 바뀌기도 했습니다.

Even so, everyone’s passion for learning has been top-notch, and we are now in our 8th year.

그러나 모두들 배움에 대한 열정만큼은 대한민국 최고였고, 이제 8년 차에 접어들었습니다.

Thanks to our diligent studies, one of the members and I even took the OPIc exam two years ago and achieved an IH grade, a big accomplishment for us.

다함께 열심히 공부한 덕분에, 재작년에는 저와 멤버 한 명이 Opic 시험을 보고 IH 등급을 받는 쾌거도 이루었습니다.
