못난이 농산물이란 크기가 모양이 불규칙하거나 일부 훼손된 농산물을 말합니다.

Ugly produce refers to agricultural products that are irregular in size or shape, or that are partially damaged.
* irregular in size or shape : 크기나 모양이 불규칙한

 

사람들은 보통 생김새만 보고 이러한 농산물이 맛이 없을 거라고 섣불리 판단하고는 합니다.

People are often quick to judge these products as less tasty based solely on their appearance.

그러나 못난이 농산물은 외형적인 기준에는 미치지 못해도, 맛과 영양 면에서는 표준 농산물과 동등한 가치를 지닙니다.

But even though ugly produce may not meet visual standards, it holds the same value as standard produce in
terms of taste and nutrition.

저도 직접 접해 보니, 일반적인 농산물과 전혀 다를 바 없었습니다.

From my own experience, I found it to be no different from regular produce.

지금까지는 상품성이 떨어진다는 이유로 이러한 농산물이 대량 폐기되곤 했습니다.

In the past, such produce was discarded in large quantities due to its perceived lack of marketability.

이렇게 좋은 식재료들이 낭비되어 왔다는 것이 참 안타깝습니다.

우리는 이제 못난이 농산물에 대한 인식을 개선해야 합니다.
We need to change our perception of ugly produce.
