Sean : So, how's your first week going?
숀 : 그래, 출근 첫 주 어땠어요?

Melisa : It's a lot to take in, but everyone's been helpful.
멜리사 : 배울 게 아주 많지만, 다들 많이 도와주셨어요.

Sean : That's good to hear. Just remember, you'll need to fend for yourself sometimes.
숀 : 그랬다니 다행이네요. 하지만 기억하세요. 때로는 스스로 알아서 일을 해결해야 할 때도 있답니다.

Melisa : What do you mean?
멜리사 : 그건 무슨 뜻인가요?

Sean : Well, you'll learn the ropes quickly, but it's not always smooth sailing. And one more thing, gossiping is not a good idea.
손 : 그러니까. 일에 대한 요령은 곧 익히겠지만, 늘 순조롭지만은 않다는 거예요. 그리고 한 가지 더, 가볍게 남의 말을 하는 것은 좋지 않다는 것도요.

* gossiping : 남의 말을 재미 삼아 하는 것

가끔씩 힘들 때가 있을 거예요.  You'll need to be tough sometimes.
늘 순항은 아닐 거예요. It's not always smooth sailing.
늘 행복하고 밝은 것만은 아닐 거예요. It's not always sunshine and rainbows.
늘 굴곡이 많은 여정은 아닐 거예요. It's not awlays a bumpy ride.
때로는 고객을 상대해야 할 때도 있을거야. You'll need to deal with the cutomers sometimes.
그게 늘 해피 엔딩은 아니야. It's not always happy ending.
배우고 이해해야 할 것들이 아주 많아요. It's a lot to learn and digest.
모두 저에게 잘해 주셨어요. Everyone's been nice to me.
그걸 알게 되어 다행이네요. That's good to know.
그게 늘 우울한 것만은 아니에요. It's not always depressing.
과식은 좋은 게 아니에요. Overeating is not good idea.
